First working holiday visa:

Allows people to have their first extended holiday in Australia and work here to help fund their trip.

Stay period  12 months.
Age requirements
  • 18 to 30 years old (inclusive);
  • Canadian and Irish citizens up to 35 (inclusive).
Requirements Must:

  • Must have passport from eligible country;
  • Can work while you are here;
  • Can apply for second working holiday if you meet eligibility criteria.
Cost 

Main Applicant:

  • From $450 AUD.
Conditions 
  • Character;
  • Health cover;
  • No further stay;
  • Employer work limitation;
  • Study limitation.
Processing times 
  • 75% of applications: 15 days;
  • 90% of applications 44 days.

Second working holiday visa:

For people who currently hold, or who have held, a Working Holiday visa, have a second working holiday in Australia.

Stay period  Permanent
Age requirements 
  • 18 to 30 years old (inclusive);
  • Canadian and Irish citizens up to 35 (inclusive).
Requirements Must:

  • Must have passport from eligible country;
  • Can do any kind of work while you’re here;
  • Must have completed 3 months of specified work while holding first 417 visas;
